Mass Effect Andromeda: Habitat 7

It's been out a little while now, so i do not feel so bad posting about the story. So i will start right where i left off.

Well you wake up from your 680 odd year cryo slumber and are instantly introduced to your artificial intelligence chip called Sam. He kind of looks like a holographic blob. pretty much once you have had the speal about what your here for the gravity cuts out and everyone's floating around wondering what the hell is happening.

Your sisters cryo pod comes flying at you and breaks and shes in a coma now, well you dont know its a coma until later on but im trying to cram a lot into here. Your dad (oh yeah your dads your boss) the "pathfinder" call you to the command post or the bridge or what ever you want to call it, and say's you've arrived at the target world (there is a few worlds that the races are trying to colonize) and this is your ships one.

After scanning, you all guess from the readings its not as habitable as it was 680 years ago when you started heading there.

So you gather your band of troops with your dad and proceed to go down to check it out, your ship crashed, well more like your ship splits in two and both parts crash at separate locations.

You land with someone and right away and set off to find the rest, the landscape seems to be tearing itself apart and there is lightning everywhere.

After running around learning the controls (basic tutorial stuff) you find yourself in your first battle with the Kett. they are pretty much humanoid alien things with heavier weapons. your fight a few and a few squad members are killed.

You finally hear from the "pathfinder" and make your way to his location. its a stronghold the kett are holding (you later find out is made by a different alien race) after fighting your way through, and youll notice your father is an absolute bad ass when it comes to destroying aliens, you come to a weird terminal.

Your father activates it with his SAM (more about this in the next blog) and things seem okay, then there is a huge explosion that flies you off the strong hold and your helmet breaks, you cant breathe.

The last thing you see before you black out is your father taking his helmet off and putting it on you.
Hes talking to himself.... but you cant hear it....

And that's all for habitat 7, this was definitely a very brief overview of events there, but this feels like only a prologue to the actual game so i wanted to get this all in one post. stay tuned for the next episode.

From green to white, the Galio rework

One things for sure, hes a lot different. But is it a good change?

In my opinion yes(But i do love playing tanks) i mean i do not really see full mage on him being viable at all. He does seem however to be quite viable as an AP bruiser, or definitely a full tank.

His abilities are also very different, i really like the new Q and its triple hit.

I could give or take the taunt with its damage reduction, i liked the taunt ulti tbh, but i like that magic shield it gives you.

The new passive is pretty tasty with its aoe, good for having some push without having to spam out mana to clear.

The charge is good with the knock up, the animation takes a while with his leap back though so can easily be dodged and without going through walls you can make any sneaky ganks with it.

Lastly the ultimate, it is a major change as you now leap into the air and dash to the location which is nice if your team is in the middle of a fight or being ganked, doesn't do anything in lane for you at all though.

I really do enjoy his new look, quotes and the general feel of the champion, i find him similar to playing malphite. All in all i'm going to play the champion heaps in fact i'll be leveling an entire account just on him.

Only about 20 games done so far but im getting the hang of him, ill be putting my ranked provisional's up on my youtube once the account is 30.

Fell free to like my facebook page if you would like to know when these are played/uploaded at

The Project...

This is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I'm going to create a Sims 4 game. i'm going to create myself and 2 of my IRL friends and start us off as teenagers, and then i'm going to play them for 10 generations.

Now the reasons i want to do this?

Well i would like to see what happens with the next generations will they be as close as we were.
Will the be successful, with they be good people will they even still know each other or will the families drift apart or become enemies.

I would like to see what kind of legacy each family has and what their family values are like. I'm going to try and keep the original 3 in the same house hold for as long as i possibly can, but once they start having children they will hit the sim cap for the household.

Once that happens i will then split them all into their own households. Each house hold will be played alternately on different days and i'm going to write up stories after each session regarding what happened during the day.

The stories will be posted here as separate blogs, i'm going to stream each session also so please feel free to come join, give advise or criticism or just have some fun seeing how this all goes.

To find the dates of when ill be streaming or any links to do with this or the highlight videos it will all be posted on my currently under construction website www.hamzeygaming.com this will also have links to all the other games i'm blogging and my other stories.

Hope to see you there.

Adept: The space mage

The Space Mage A.K.A the adept is by far my favorite of the basic classes for Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer.

I'm going to go a little more in depth as to why i prefer it, what i feel are its strengths, its ability's and possible builds i have found so far.

I call it the space mage because ability wise it has a lot of crowd control a massive AOE damage if you prime and detonate your singularity well. it reminds me of the generic mage class you would see in other mmorpgs.

While having the high damage and crowd control he has a lower health pool then other classes, his shields can be upgraded but i have really left this in lieu of increasing my damage output  and reducing the cool down timers (especially since i am running a sniper rifle)

I do feel that going pistols with my build would increase the overall damage output, and if you were in a premade team with another class that has a low cool down detonator, or a long range detonator you would be able to combo this to great effect with the lower cool down on singularity.

Another thing i like and this is about the game in general i guess, is the detonators cause different effects, for instance a flamethrower ability detonating your singularity causes the "firestorm" explosion which is visually completely different from your self detonated biotic explosion. Although im unsure if these different effects change the actual damage value of the detonation.

i found leveling on the adept at level one with no gear to be significantly easier then with say the vanguard, maybe i'm just not suited to it, but having the crowd control made staying alive a lot easier with just the base items.

So at the moment i'm going with a full singularity and biotic power max build its working extremely well for me, i still have a few levels to go so ill update where ill put the rest of my points then. More then likely though i will get shock wave, my only detonator up to the increased range.

So that's about it for the Adept right now, i'm sure after tomorrow with more then just the 10 hours worth of playtime i will have more to say. so for now i will leave you with my latest match in which we used entirely too many consumables for a bronze match.

For Honor, My feelings on the game and the state of the game

Well now this game is and is not what i expected at the same time. This review is not meant to be a complaint in any way shape or form, but i will be including the parts that do disappoint me personally.

So lets get to it, this game is a intuitive combat based game you need to be strategic with your attacks and defense. The environment can and will kill you if your not careful of your surroundings so your awareness needs to be on point at all times, if not you will be thrown off the map, thrown into spikes or fire or just slammed into a wall giving your opponent the opening to use there slower more damaging attacks.

While these are all good things to have in the game, sometimes in the 4v4 modes, you will just instantly die in the chaos if your not always playing extremely defensive. which creates a meta that revolves around blocking parrying and countering. This makes being an offensive player a great risk and rewards a turtle style of play.

Not that i mind this style of play, its just not how i thought the game would evolve.

The actual combat system is great, the 3 direction attacking and blocking makes for some really intense fights with last minute blocks or being parried out of stamina, i love these fights the close ones where you either barely win or barely lose. The game takes time to get good at, you need to learn your opponents moves how they fight and then it becomes a mind game.

The main issue with this game is the connectivity issues, these issues do not even effect me directly, i have never disconnected from a game. They do however indirectly effect me when two other players are disconnected it will crash the match meaning the last 15 minutes i have been playing are worthless.

The feel of the different characters is amazing, the personality put into each feels exactly how they are themed, even there idle stances for instance the berzeker seems on edge when idle never standing completely still.

Another downfall is the decrease in player base although i feel players will come back with future bug fixes. It roughly translates for me about an extra 30 seconds in queue which is hardly the "Dying Game" feel you find if you look at the game forums.

All in all it is a fun game, i will continue to play it but it could be a great game with a little more work put in.

Mass effect match.

Here's the video i promised. no voice no edits, just an entire match.
Enjoy.

Mass Effect Andromeda.

Here is a little Mass Effect Andromeda review, this is only my opinion from what i have seen so far.

So during my 10 hour trial i have only played the multiplayer, i did not want to start the story and not be able to progress further because i know ill get addicted to and just want more. That being said i have absolutely loved the multiplayer, its everything i loved from Mass Effect 3 with extras that make it great.

The addition of the jump packs adds more to the game i can literally get to every spot on the map, you can get to the top of every on the map making it feel larger while technically being the same size.

There are also so many classes in the base game unlike ME3 where the majority of rare and ultra rare classes came from expansions, meaning there is more then likely a class for your play style in the game on release day which is refreshing.

Connectivity on multiplayer for the most part is great, i only experienced lag on one game and i had a few downloads running in the background, it also stabilized later in the match. The built in voice chat is a nice addition, happy to find there has been no toxicity across it everyone seems to be united in meeting objectives and working as a team.

Usual skills from ME3 are there but there are new ones i have never seen before, the leveling and upgrade system is generally the same as ME3, with the exception of the secondary stat leveling over the course of a long time.

The visuals though are stunning on most of the abilities and the combination biotic explosions are so visually intense that sometimes i want to stop fighting and watch the chain reaction.

All in all so far ill give this a 9/10 ill be making a lot of videos of it on my youtube channel once its released in about two days, ill be doing the story start to finish. For now that's about it, im uploading a video now and will post it once its done.

Whats up

Whats up guys,

Hamzey here, decided to start a gaming blog where i share my thoughts on games.
Give my opinion on all the newest releases, what i'm trying in games and where i think a game should go.

This is my first time writing a blog, the majority of my posts will contain links to my youtube channel so you can actually see what i'm writing about.

Hope you all enjoy.
